Thu. Jan. 19. 20172nd Year Japanese Starts in Fall 2017

We are very pleased to announce that in the academic year 2017-2018, we will offer 2nd-year Japanese in addition to the existing courses (3rd year, 4th year, and 5th year).

We now accept applicants who have completed at least one year of college-level Japanese for the fall semester, and three semesters for the spring semester, or equivalent.

In the fall semester, 2nd-year Japanese will cover Genki II in the first half and Tobira, Hiyaku, or Intermediate Japanese or materials similar to these textbooks in the second half. In the spring semester, we will use authentic materials in addition to the remaining content of the fall semester (subject to change).

The application deadline for Academic Year 2017-18 as well as Fall 2017 is March 15, 2017. For more information, please visit the KCJS Brochure site by the Office of Global Programs of Columbia University.
