Wed. Jun. 29. 2022Virtual Meet-up with local students

Students in the Virtual KCJS Summer Program had an opportunity to interact with students from various universities in Kyoto.
Check out the comments from Julia  (University of Florida) and Sarah (University of Pennsylvania) !

“I had a blast getting to meet and getting to know other Japanese students around the same age! I was a bit nervous at first, but I quickly got comfortable breaking the ice with everyone in my break-out sessions. Even if the session itself was somewhat short, we had a lot of fun finding things we had in common and laughing together. Even after the social, I am happy to say that I am still in contact with my new friends through LINE! 🙂 ” – Julia Nguyen (University of Florida)

“Despite being online, KCJS provided so many opportunities to meet and connect with Japanese students. Hearing how they speak and exchanging contact information really helped me immerse in the experience of learning a culture through language. Aside from the obvious benefits to listening and speaking, the language table boosted my confidence in holding natural conversations. Thank you, KCJS, for the wonderful program! ” – Sarah Chang (University of Pennsylvania)
